Other Mission Opportunities

 We take seriously Jesus' command to "go and make disciples of all nations..." We believe that everyone should have the opportunity to know about the gospel of Jesus Christ, and that college students' passion and sense of adventure is perfect for taking that message into a variety of places whether locally, nationally, or around the world.

You may have already read about BSU Summer Missions but there are many other opportunities to serve as well.

Community Missions  

Even here in Raymond or in the surrounding area opportunities abound to minister to people in the name of Jesus Christ. Each year the BSU coordinates community mission work whether in the form of Backyard Bible Clubs for children, ministry in nursing homes, or other outreach opportunities.

Spring Break Mission Trips

Each spring break the BSU will lead one or two trips to another location in order to plug in and help someone who is ministering in their own area. In the recent years these missions have included work in Mission Arlington in Texas, Beach Reach in Panama City, Florida, Canada, Washington, and Atlanta. Cost varies according to the expense of each location, but we encourage students to be saving up early in preparation for these trips which change many lives-- of those with whom we work and ours as well.

Cultural Exchanges

Every year there are opportunities to help others internationally through teaching English or presenting aspects of American life. Each year we have students participate in Christmas in China or a short term trip to Southeast Asia.
